NÉHIÝAWISKWÉW. MOTHER OF FOUR. PARTNER. PHOTOGRAPHER.
Life Outside of Photography
During the summer, my days are spent at powwows or tending to my garden, watching my kids run barefoot through the yard—chasing each other, laughing, or going on little scavenger hunts. We walk gravel roads during golden hour, chasing that warm evening light. I love searching for agates with my kiddos, taking in the quiet beauty around us and listening to their excitement over every tiny treasure we find.
In the winter, you’ll find us in the stands at hockey games, outside sledding or skating at the outdoor rink. Being a photographer is one of my greatest passions, but creativity touches every corner of my life. Whether it’s macramé, sewing, or painting, creating with my hands helps me slow down, breathe a little deeper, and stay connected to myself.
My Why
My connection to photography began long before I ever held a camera. Loss entered my life early, shaping the way I understand love, memory, and presence. Over time, I learned how fragile moments can be — and how meaningful it is to hold onto what remains.
Becoming a mother at a young age marked a turning point for me. It deepened my awareness of time passing, of seasons changing, and of how quickly life can shift. Through both joy and grief, I came to understand the importance of preserving the moments we often don’t realize we’ll miss.
I don’t have many photographs of the people I’ve loved and lost, and the ones I do have are among my most treasured possessions. They allow me to share their stories with my children and keep their presence close, even as time moves forward.
These experiences quietly inform the way I photograph. They guide me toward tenderness, connection, and intentional storytelling.
As your photographer, I offer a calm, meaningful experience rooted in presence and care. With gentle guidance and space for natural moments to unfold, my goal is to create images that feel honest, reflect connection, and become part of your family’s story for generations to come.
